The Bills season has ended in utter dissapointment. A team that was 5-1 with legitimate SB aspirations turned into the Bengals during the last 10 games. Sure Edwards missed some time. I still have to question if a Qb with a noodle-arm can be successful in Buffalo. Chad Pennington's arm makes Edwards look like Jeff George's. Though he's playing in Miami and I wonder how good he'll be long-term. Chad Henne is the future in Miami.
This is my initial Mock Draft.
1. Detroit Lions - Matt Stafford, I go with him ahead of Bradford because i'm not sure Bradford will come out. Stafford has the tools. Whether he has the mental capacity is yet to be determined.
2. St. Louis Rams- Andre Smith, No way he's going back to Alabama after being booted from the Sugar Bowl. I think he's a better prospect than Oher. What happened to Alex Barron?
3. KC Chiefs- Sam Bradford, I stated I don't know if he'll come out. I do like Tyler Thigpen so this is a tough pick. If they do trade Larry Johnson I could see Beanie Wells going here.
4. Seattle Seahawks- Michael Crabtree, they're lacking WR's like Dexter Manley is lacking reading skills.
5. Cleveland Browns- Malcolm Jenkins, This is a little high. Though the Browns need help in the secondary. They're just an atrocious team.
6. Bengals- Beanie Wells, Cedric Benson was a nice surprise for them. I think Wells is a perfect fit.
7. Oakland Raiders- Michael Oher, Robert Gallery has been a bust.
8. Jax Jags- Rey Melaluga, I think Mike Peterson will be gone. Matt Jones came on nicely after doing some toot in the offseason.
9. Green Bay Packers- Brian Orakpo, They need someone opposite of Aaron Kampman. I expect a huge combine performance from him.
10. SF 49ers- Jeremy Maclin, They need playmakers. I think Maclin gives them a solid WR.
11. Buffalo Bills- Taylor Mays, This is a homer pick but Mays will be a superstar. Jermaine Greisham is a possibility also.
12. Denver Broncos- Knowshon Moreno, I think they go away from the anyback can get it done philosophy.
13. Washington Redskins- Michael Johnson, The potential doesn't match the productivity. I'm not sure if Taylor comes back.
14. NO Saints- Aaron Curry- A steal at this point. I could see them going Vontae Davis.
15. Houston Texans- Vontae Davis- They finished strong I think this is more of a BPA pick.
16. SD Chargers- James Laurinitis- This is a solid pick. He doesn't have the upside of Rey but I think he'll be a solid player.
17. NY Jets- Derrius Heyward-Ben, Laverneus is old and Cotchrey had a down year. I think if Freeman has a huge combine he could be the pick.
18. Chicago Bears- Everette Brown, I think they go defense. No WR's really deserve this pick. Brown and Ogunleye can't play forever.
19. TB Bucs- Jermaine Greisham, They'd be ecstatic if he falls this far.
20. Detroit- Jason Smith, Following the Falcons model they take their Qb and now their LT.
21. Arizona Cardinals- LeSean McCoy, Edge siad he wants out and i'm not sure Hightower or Aarington are good enough to be the starter going into the season.
22. Philadelphia Eagles- Brandon Pettigrew, I think that L.J. Smith has been alot of potential very little productivity.
23. Minnesota Vikings- William Moore, Simply put they need a Qb and noone who deserves this pick is available.
24. New England Patriots- Brian Cushing, This is a no-brainer.
25. Atlanta Falcons- Tyson Jackson, They'd love to see Pettigrew available here.
26. Miami Dolphins- B.J. Raji, They'll need a NT to take over for Ferguson this is a nice choice.
27. Baltimore Ravens- Kenny Britt, A reach here but I think he's got the size that they desire.
28. Indy Colts- Terrance Cody, They need defensive line help. He'll help plug up the middle.
29. Philadelphia Eagles- Eben Britton, They could lose both tackles. So they take one.
30. Pittsburgh Steelers- Duke Robinson, They get somebody who'll replace Faneca a year later.
31. NYG- Peria Jerry, They're loaded on the defensive line. This is a BPA pick.
32. Ten. Titans- George Selvie, He's small but they can develop him.
I assume that most of these will be wrong.
